Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I think that my company ripped me off
I am working for a security company that had me fill out medical insurance papers. I wanted my daughter and I on this and I elected to have me my husband and my daughter on the dental because it was a good price. they said that it would be about $43.00 a check. I said fine. but from the very first check they started taking out 200.00 out off every check for the last 3 mnths. I kept thinking this was some kind of adjustment and then I just got mad. so they said that they would not stop taking out the money till the end of the enrollment time. unless I showed just cause why. thank god my husband had just lost his job. I used that as an excuse. so then they said effective september 1st 1999 that the insurance company would discontinue me as of that date. The current date was september 9, 1999 that no money would be taken out any more. but then the company said but we are not that fast so $200.00 will be taken out one more time by us. I said where does that money go they did not tell me anything. one thing that I know is that the insurance company did not take it and my company said they took it but wont give it back. they said that its gone. thats it its just gone? I want my grand total of 600. back. what do I do.
