Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Company Travel and Credit Cards

The company in which I work has recently decided that employees who travel must have an American Express Card. This card is issued on each employee's credit, but the company claims it does not go on the employee's credit history. No where on the card does it refer to the company, and the employee's name is on the card. Can the company mandate that all traveling employee's must get an Amex card? and Can the company require that the employee's use the American Express card to travel, and no other credit card? (note: the bill comes to the employee's home and the company does not see the bill at anytime)
