compensation for lost wages

i resigned for my job three weeks ago, and still have received a final check. Two pay periods have past, and my bills are becoming delinquent as a result. by law is there anything i can do to speed up the process of getting the check and/or get compensation for the debt i am now expericing?

I would suggest that you contact the Labor Commissioner which can be found under the Califoria listings in your phonebook. They will assist you without charge in helping to recover wages that are owed to you.
