Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Complaint filed with Labor Commissioner

I filed a compliant with the Labor Commissioner in California to pursue waiting time penalties and in general complain about the former employer and their practices; here are the details: I gave a 2 week notice to my employer and worked the full 2 weeks. I was not paid until 10 days after my final date of employment. The admitted they made a mistake but chose not to correct it. When I did received the check it was short. I did not receive my final funds until approximately 8 weeks after my final date of employment. I have all the documentation and the burden of proof is on me at the hearing. What else should I take with me and what should I be prepared for?

Re: Complaint filed with Labor Commissioner

You should take everything that pertains to your case. Be organized. You should be prepared to put on your case, which means you need to present all of your evidence in a well-thought out and logical manner so as to provide a basis in which you will receive a favorable ruling.

Good Luck!
