conflict waiver letter
I have a job offer pending a ''conflict of interest'' waiver letter from my current employer, ''A''. ''B'' and ''C'' are in a litigation dispute now. I work for A who represents C. B wants to hire me (not the attorneys) but the actual client B. I have not worked or touched the case at my current firm. Can my employer refuse to give me a waiver? waiver.

Not quite sure I follow the facts, but generally speaking, an employee cannot require a current or former employer to waive a conflict of interest claim any more than they can require them to give a good reference.
If the actions of the employer are tantamount to a tortious interference with contractual relations or a covenant not to compete, there may be legal remedies, but it doesn't appear that is what you are presenting here.
