Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Constructive Termination

I am a student at the University of Phoenix and in a Business Law class at the present time. One of my classmates resigned (quit) her job because a superior was creating a hosstile inviornment at work. My classmate went to her supierior, but nothing was done. I am trying to find information on a constructive termination, which the teacher of the business law class gave me regarding my classmates situation. I was wondering if you have any information, or know where on the internet I can go to find out more information on this term?

Re: Constructive Termination

In plain English this means the company forced her out. I don't know about the internet, but for an example of this situation, read the case of McFetters v. Amplicon, 82 Cal.App.4th 200 (2000), which you or she should be able to find in your local law library. The Calif. Court of Appeal decided the case on 7-17-00.
