Am I still under contract?

I was an indepdant contractor for a spa (esthetician) getting paid commision per client-on a contract. That spa moved and made me an employee on salary. Is my old contract still vaid or is it now invalid?

Without knowing what your contract says, it would be difficult and inappropriate to guess at an answer. However, since the nature of the relationship has changed, you should now be paid as an employee, not as an independent contractor, from the inception of the employment relationship.
