Contractual Compensation
I signed an agreement with my employer effective December 1,2000. Compensation was mutually agreed apon at $4,000.00 per month plus commission. On or about January 3, 2001 I was called into a meeting and told my new pay plan was to be commission only with no base pay included. My employer has yet to submit in writing a revised, commission only pay plan, nor have I been compensated for the month of January based on the original agreement/employment contract I signed. What are my legal rights and what is my next logical step. I feel they owe me compensation of $4000.00 for the month of January.

What was the term of the contract? Was it to last more than a year? If so, then you may bave a case of breach of contract. However, if you like your job, you may not want to sue, therefore, you may do better negotiating a acceptable compensation plan. Please contact me directly at (619) 222-3504.
