Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Contractual obligation and employment in CA

I was told that in California, written employment contracts were considered "indentured servitude" and were therefore not recognised as binding. I don't feel terribly confident with, perhaps, the wording used to describe the above, and I would like to know what the law actually states. Thank you for your help!

There is no law against written employment contracts. There are some restrictions on what a contract can or cannot do.
