Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Co-worker harrassing multiple employees
Three employees of a major hospital chain, including myself, are currently experiencing verbal harrassment by a co-worker. One of my co-workers is currently out on workers comp (stress), the other was out on workers comp (stress), and I am prepared to resign next week in lieu of filing a workers comp claim. The co-worker responsible for the harrassment verbally berates us in front of anyone, including patients and our manager. We have made multiple complaints to our manager, our union representatives and human resources. To date, no action has been taken and the verbal abuse continues. The harrassment is not racially, sexually, nor otherwise unlawfully motivated. In addition, we continue to experience breaches of confidentiality where our manager and this individaul are concerned. That is, when an incident occurs, for instance an error in my time card, my manager discusses the issue with the abusive co-worker. Obviously, we are at the proverbial end of our ropes.

Re: Co-worker harrassing multiple employees
You sure are at the end of your rope, if the management lets this jerk loose and doesn't pull his chain. Sounds like it's a good time to update the resume, contact the headhunters and go someplace where you are appreciated.
