Legal Question in Employment Law in California
My daughter was hired at a medical office. She worked for 5 days. On the 4th day they asked her to fill out forms including background check Never once specified that a credit report would be run. She was fired the next day due to her credit report not being up to par? Is this legal?? Should all of this have not been done BEFORE she was hired?

The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires written consent before a credit report is run, and a written notice when an employee is fired or not hired based on the results of a credit report. Consult a lawyer in your locality, or just take them to Small Claims Court. Watch out for legal time limits.
