Day Shift to Night Shift

My company is going through some changes. So after three years on the day shift was told that I would be put on the night shift. I know that my employer has the right to change my hours. I have found that people with less seniority than me are going to the day shift. Have contacted human resources. They have refused to explain the criteria used.
