Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Deadline for Pursuing a Lawsuit

I was the manager of a hair salon and my district manager created a hostile environment for me to work in. A couple of weeks later I sustained a work related injury and have been denied Workers Comp. I do have an attorney for that (and filed within the time limit), but he suggested that I should also take actions against this district manager. I'm afraid the time limit is up for me to take additional action now--it was a over a year ago when the initial incident happened(aprox. the last week of May/first week of June 2003). I continued to work, cutting my hours until it became unbearable and went on a Medical Leave of Absence Feb. 27, 2004. Is it too late to file with a labor attorney?

If any of the conduct took place within the last year you can still file a claim.
