Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Defamation and Harassment
I was injured at work a few days ago. My manager; be unsymathetic and unconcerned of my well-bing at the time. Approached me and started to lecture on how unsafe I was working, whether I know the proper safe work methods. Seeing hand bleeding from four of my knuckles. He asked me if I can get to the hospital myself. I requested that my coordinator take me to the hospital and he told him to just drop me off and get back to the building.
I felt his words were very offensive and at the same time made me feel real small. What advise can you give me on this.

Re: Defamation and Harassment
That does not qualify as either Defamation or Harassment and I see no basis for any type of lawsuit.

California Labor Code Section 132a prohibits discrimination for filing of making known the intention of filing a workers' comp claim.
In the event the employer takes adverse employment action, you may want to seek out a qualified workers' compensation attorney to represent you.
