Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Do I Deserve A Raise?

After coming back to work from 3 1/2 months of disability, I received my annual review. I received no raise but found out the rest of the company got a 2% across the board raise. My review was satisfactory, but I was denied a pay increase. If it was an across the board company raise, shouldn't I have received the increase also?

Re: Do I Deserve A Raise?

Possibly. If you were out on medical family leave or suffered as disability protected under the Fair Employment and Housing Act, an employer cannot discriminate against you. But there may also be legitimate reasons why you did not qualify for the raise. You should have all the facts reviewed by a labor law attorney near you.
