An employee is informed that he will not be discharged because of a severe safety infraction. Upon investigating some of his comments you discover he lied and should be discharged. Can the employee now be discharged?

Re: Discharging an Employee
Who knows. Many more facts are needed and this really isnt the forum to determine whether an employee should be terminated. If you are the employer you should consult with an attorney.
