Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Discrimination due to pregnancy

I was hired to work at a department store. The manager didn't know that I was 7 month pregnant at the time he hired me. A week after working there, he found out from another employee. After 4 hours of work one day he asked me to go to his office. He asked me why I didn't tell him I was pregnant at the interview. I told him that I didn't think it was an issue I should discussed to him. He told me the job position is fast pace and it wouldn't be good for a pregnant person and that he think it's best if I reconsidered working there. He asked me if I was tired and I told him yes. He then said well you could go home now even though my shift wasn't over. So I left and never came back assuming that I was to resign. Please let me know your opinion and whether this could be a case against them. It happened 11 months ago. Please respond ASAP.

Re: Discrimination due to pregnancy

another lawyer might disagree but in my opinion you abandoned the job and do not have a claim.
