Legal Question in Employment Law in California
discrimination against minority females
A power-hungry supervisor has unjustifiably and discriminatorily taken most of the minority females off schedule (for the second time) and workers (of the supervisor's nationality) with less seniority have been given substantial hours. The supposed justification is based on attendance(which should automatically eliminate the new hires, error ratio and availability.
The underlying reason stems from retaliation. The supervisor's boss has rec'd ligitimate customer complaints that directly reflect on the lack of efficiency in the call center, therefore the supervisor has obviously taken the minority female ''whistleblowers'' off schedule so that she won't be reprimanded again. It has been reported (again) to Human Resources. What else can be done?

Re: discrimination against minority females
You may certainly file a claim with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), however, I would recommend you contact a compentent labor/discrimination attorney such as myself and my associates. Seventy percent of our business is in the area of labor/discrimination. I would be happy to speak with you by phone and would set up an initial consultation which is always without charge.
