Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Discrimination
I moved out to California from Out of state. The company i work for had all employees moving to california sign a contract stating that if we leave the company before 1 year is up that we would have to pay for the cost of our move out here. Several people also involved in this move have left the company & have broken there contract & not have been charged for there moving expenses. When i handed in my notice i was told that i would have to pay my moving cost. I am just 2 months shy of completeing my 1 year contract agreement If the other transplants left before there contracts came up & didnt have to pay for there move why should I? Is this considered discrimination? If so what are my options?

Re: Discrimination
It is not discrimination. you can either pay or not pay and hope they are bluffing.
