Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Employee to Contractor
I was employed by a public agency for 6 years as a director. I left 1.5 yrs ago to take a better job. I am a consultant. My company contracts back to the agency I worked for. Recently the CFO found out that I was working on a contract and insisted and called my boss to say that she did not want me working there, no reason given. My boss then laid me off due to lack of business last week. Do I have any recource?

Re: Employee to Contractor
I deal with litigation regarding public employees. You may email my office and let me know what the terms of your contract say about terminating the relationship.
