Can I request a copy of my employee file? Can my old employer refuse? What are my rights if employer refuses?

You have the right to view your file into taking notes that you do not have the right to get a copy of the file. However, if you are involved in litigation over an employment issue, your attorney can subpoena a copy of the file.
