Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Employee is terminated from a position in California (supervising children for school district), months later same HR office calls employee and offers employment, person accepts after asking if they are sure. HR also calls to confirm employee is coming to meeting and gives further details. Weeks later HR calls and berates employee for accepting position. Any recourse?

There is no cause of action simply because HR called and criticized you for this decision.
If you are a union member, you may wish to speak to your representative about the possibility of a grievance. Under general state law, however, an employee does not have a right to an agreeable work place free from being yelled at.
