Legal Question in Employment Law in California

If my employer has me on an assignment at one address then sends me to another, each being 4 hours, are they suppose to pay me for the travel time or mileage inbetween assignment A and assignment B? Plus that means no break of my own for 8 hours other than drive time which is hardly a break at all in the traffic I have to fight and the mileage I am travelling.

Yes, they must pay you for the drive time. And you are correct in that your drive time is NOT a legally sufficient meal break, since you are performing work for your employer and are not off-duty.

Moreover, if you are driving your personal vehicle in between assignments, your employer must reimburse you for that mileage.

Of course, this response is based solely on the limited information provided in your question. Call an employment lawyer to fully discuss your situation.
