Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Former Employer Confidentialy breach?

My sister and I both worked for the same employer. I am no longer w/the employer, but my sister is. I filed for unemployment back in October and I had to appeal because I felt as though my former employer wasn't entirely truthful in regarding the basis for my departure. There is a hearing coming up, which my former employer pulled my sister aside and told her about. I feel like my whole case is compromised as well as my privacy. Is this legal?

Re: Former Employer Confidentialy breach?

This is not something that's worth fighting or immediately relevant to your eligibility for unemployment benefits, but there are a few important things you need to do to prepare for the appeal hearing in order to have a better chance to prevail. Namely, the standard of eligibility and how to apply that standard the most effectively to the specific circumstances of your claim.
