Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Can employer enforce us to work?

Hello,

I'm a salaried employee for a large corp. in California. The company believes all union employees will strike this year. They are forcing all managers and officers to work 12hr days/6 days a week in the event of a strike. Many will have to travel outside of their state, others away from their office location within state. The employer will not pay for extra hours worked because we are salaried. Can they do this?

Yes they can but they never pay correctly, keep detailed records on when you work and what you do and contact me , both before and after any strike.

Afew years ago UPS managers recieved a huge settlement after doing exactly what your co intends.

This is not something you want a quick free answer for. You might consider all chipping in and hire myself or another attorney to protect your rights in this if you are serious. Let me know if you want help.

Best,
