Can an employer force an hourly employee to attend an on-site meeting on his scheduled day off? Employer threatens disciplinary action if he does not attend. Employee is compensated for two hours pay for a one hour meeting if he attends..

As long as you are properly paid for your time - and it sounds like you are - then, yes, the employer can require to to attend meetings, even on your day off
