Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Employer has a history of dealing with stress & harassment
I work for City Government. I've been an outstanding employee for 12 years. But this City can't retain good managers in my deparment, I've worked for 9 different managers in 12 years. One died of Aids and we were forced to watch him disentigrate, hearing him vomit every morning, and one co-worker was giving him shots in the office. Next boss brought guns into the office, had sex with a subordinate, got caught, threatened the employee's life, said ''columbine was nothing,'' lied about his credentials. My current supervisor, I feel, is retalliating against me because she's angry that I question her decisions sometimes, wont answer my emails, causing projects to be late, kicked me out of her office (verbally) for requesting that we discuss what what bothering her, cancelled my business trip so I would finish a project with no deadline. I haven't been able to sleep for months, and recently walked out stating that I needed a transfer to another area or supervisor. I did make it clear I was not quitting.
