Legal Question in Employment Law in California
My former employer sent me home one day and then sent me a letter 3 days later stating he accepted my resignation which I never gave. I called to ask what was going on and they said they would call me back and never did. I filed for unemployment and now they are appealing and forcing my ex coworkers who would testify for me not to talk to me. What recourse do I have?

Hello,
This is not an uncommon situation. You should prepare for an appeal to make sure you make the best arguments in order to win, and/or consider being represented by an attorney.

If your coworkers will, in fact, support you, but they cannot talk to you. You will have to subpoena them.
