Can my employer make me do other than my primary job?

As long as it is their company, they can require you perform any job duty that is lawful. Employees do not get to decide what job they want to do.

Unless you are under a union contract that contains work and staffing rules, you do what your employer assigns you to do, or you quit, or you get fired.
