Legal Question in Employment Law in California
My employer notified me on Friday that on Monday I had to relocate to a different site which is about 10 miles further. With morning LA traffic, this adds another 20-30 minutes to my commute. Can they give such a short notice?

I assume that you are an at-will employee, with no union representation or written contract governing the rules for changing your place of employment.
Under this assumption, then yes, your employee can change your place of work on a weekend's notice. Indeed, your employer can do it virtually instantaneously.
