Employer Obligation for Very Old Back Pay

I found a paycheck that I never cashed from four years ago (March 1999).

The employer is still in business.

I have asked them to look into it and haven't heard back.

Are they obligated to pay me?

They have paid you. You simply didn't cash the check. The statute of limitations has long run to bring any claim for non-payment.
