Legal Question in Employment Law in California

can a employer request you to do wok while on disability?

My boss called me a week after I started disability. She wanted me to contact work to help out on a project. I told her I could not. I just got back from disabilty and she proceeded to tell me how much damage I did while I was out on disability and now the team does not want me to work with. Do I have a case against her?

Re: can a employer request you to do wok while on disability?

Very possibly. Employers must reasonably accommodate persons with "qualified" disabilities, and may not discriminate because of the disability. Whether you qualify is not clear from your question. The Department of Fair Employment and Housing enforces disability discrimination violations.
