When you got hired, you probably provided proof of citizenship with a social security card or drivers license, as is required to complete an I-9 form. It is very unusual for an employer to ask for proof of your birthday as this may lead to age discrimination claims. Have they said why they need it? What does it matter to them how old you are, unless you have lied about your identify, which is another matter beyond your date of birth.
