Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Employer gives verbal job offer and start date then revokes

I was offered verbally a management position with a large company, and told to give my 2 week notice which i did. They offered an incentive to start on a certain date and then called me and told me they need a manager to sign my offer letter the day before I was suppose to start and they would contact me as soon as they got my offer letter signed because the manager was on vacation. I have not heard from them yet a week later. do I have legal recourse?
