Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I have an employment contract. Does my company need to pay out my contract or can they fire me without paying?
The contract says nothing about termination just salary and job duties.

It depends on whether the contract specifies you will work for them for a particular amount of time or until a particular date. If so, and they terminate your contract before that date without just cause, they would probably be liable for the balance of payments that would be due until the end date or term in the contract. If there is no agreement to employ you for any specified amount of time, however, the contract is terminable at will by either party and they only owe you payment for the time you actually work for them.
