Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I have been the Executive Assistant to the CEO at my company for two years. Lately I've been planning and attending a lot of parties for clients and partners in Vegas and LA. Things have gotten wild and I think my boss is a little nervous about me sharing these exploits with others. He asked me to sign a One-Way NDA disallowing me from sharing proprietary information including personal, business or other information, materials and/or ideas disclosed to me by him. I don't have any qualms with maintaining confidentiality, and I think this could actually strengthen our business relationship. But I worry about being in the position where I don't know what is included under the NDA, and I worry that this agreement might make me vulnerable to legal action if i slip up. Also, I might feel a little more comfortable if this were a two-way NDA. Is that reasonable to ask? Is his request of me to sign a one-way NDA typical in this situation?

Anything is negotiable, but non-disclosure agreements typically are one way. What kind of information would you want to prevent the employer from disclosing? If you have a clear idea of what you are looking for, you can always propose it. They may not agree, and you will have to decide how important it is to you. But if your request is reasonable, they just may accept it.
