Executive Director Called Me "Stupid" In Front Of Co-Worker
Recently, the Executive Director at the Law Firm I am employed with ended a conversation with me by calling me stupid. He did this in front of a co-worker (who works in the H.R. department). I reported it to my boss and also to the H.R. (Human Resources) Manager. She said that she would think about the situation overnight and get back with me the next day to discuss what should be done. She fully agreed that what he did was wrong; however, she has yet to get back to me or to discuss it with me at all since our initial meeting - which was almost 2 weeks ago! I've considered going to the Managing Partner or the Management Committee, but this is a very "elitist" firm, and I'm not sure they would do anything. I've been here 3 years, am known and well like by everyone (I am a Facilities/Marketing Assistant) and truly enjoy my job. Legally speaking, what are my options?

Legally speaking, you have no options. If you really like your job, I suggest you just drop the issue.
