Legal Question in Employment Law in California

exempt status

I work as a pension auditor. My company calls me a manager and I am salaried. I don't supervise anyone, nor do I make executive decisions. My job consists of going to various employers to make sure they are paying contributions to the pension trust according to their contracts. So, is this an exempt position?

Re: exempt status

It is hard to tell based on the facts provided. You should consult a labor & Employment attorney in your area if you feel that you are entitled to overtime wages.

Good Luck!
