Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Experience letter from Former employer .

My previous employer is refusing to give my experience letter . I was working for that company for a year and joined some other company for higher salary . I did send him a resignation letter thru email . Is there a law that says the employer should not hold employees experience letters ? I need it for my Green card processing.

Assuming by "experience letter" you mean a reference letter, there is no law requiring an employer to provide or create such a document. As you have an immigration issue as well, I suggest contacting an immigration attorney about former employer's responsibilites.
