Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I had a fall on a job site and I seemed to be fine at the time so I let it go. When my back started to bother me, I told my boss about the fall and he advised me to at at least file an incident report. I'd already let my boss know that I did not want to put in an accident claim for fear of retaliation.

In the end, the higher ups heard about the incident report and informed me that I would moving to another office then had me sign a form requesting a transfer. I did not want to transfer, I was trying to avoid exactly the situation I'm in - labeled with the "trouble maker" scarlet letter.
