Legal Question in Employment Law in California
on February 15th of 2015 my job position was "eliminated" as a manager of a high end restaurant..
the owner now has hired a new manager at that position that was "eliminated" four months later...I thought the owner can not hire another manager for at least one year or he need ti offer me back the position? Is this true?

No. If you were an at-will employee (no written contract for a set term), your employer can terminate your employment at any time for any lawful reason and does not have to offer you a job again. The employer also does not have to provide a reason for the termination of employment, but must pay your final paycheck on the date of termination to avoid waiting time penalties.
