Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Federal Holidays Honored by Private/Public Companies
Do private/public companies have to legally give federal holidays as paid days
off? Also, is there a general idea that a majority of employers give those days
off even if it's not required by law? Is there a way to find out what percentage
do?

Employers are not required to provide paid or unpaid holidays. You might check with the State and Federal Department of Labor Statistics as to how many employers have such policies.
