Legal Question in Employment Law in California

can't find my 401k called former employer several times they give me numbers that i have to have a code. the company they say is administrating (wells fargo) can't find them or me.

I'm not sure what happened here, and I can think of a couple of possibilities.

However, the easiest way for you to resolve this is going to be to file a complaint with the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), which is here: http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSE/ and let them know that your former employer isn't giving you access to your 401(k).
