Legal Question in Employment Law in California

if i was fired, should i get my check that day
I was fired on friday and yet they still have not gave me my checks I called today and they told me maybe 2marrow or thursday...And my pay period is 2-5-08 and they don't even have that check ready for me either...what should i do and when should i have recieved my last checks...shouldn't i have recieved them the day they fired me?

You are due all earned wages and vacation on the date of termination. Your employer may be subject to fines per day based on their non-compliance.
