You have the right to have your personal property returned to you. But the employer does not have to permit you to return on its property. You should prepare an inventory of your property and submit it to the employer, giving them a date to either allow you to pick them up or for them to ship them to you. If they refuse to return your property, you can file a small claims action against the employer, for claims up to $7,500.
