Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Fired because I did not pass probationary evaluation-but company gave false inf

I was fired from a job and was told they would give me unemployment benefits,I recieved termination notice stating I was fired because I did not pass a probationary evaluation. I applied for unemployment benefits, and was told that I had been eligible for benefits. A few days later I contacted unemployment and was told that there was new information stating that I voluntarily quite, and to do another interview.

I have a document from employer stating that I did not pass the probationary evaluation, dated and signed a day after I was fired. I also believe that because this was a hispanic based dental organization, that I was discrimitated against because I am of african -american / panamanian decent

(skin color mainly black) Most all doctors were hispanic and two caucasian. One hispanic doctor who was the head whom did not know me at time of hire constantly and daily asked me who in my family was of Panamanian decent-which I thought she was constanly harrassaning about my racial background. Do you think this is a case?

You have an appeal of denial of unemployment benefits action which you must initiate, and, you may have an wrongful termination case based upon discrimination. In both matters, strict time limits apply. You will have to file a complaint with the EEOC or Dept. of Fair Labor and Housing. Please contact me directly at (619) 222-3504.
