Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Hello, I think I am being fired today but I haven't been told. My check was supposed to be deposited like everyone else but it wasn't and when I do get fired are they supposed to give me my check immediately and also they made me pay company property for something I broke accidentally at my bosses request or I would get I'm trouble if I don't do it, is that legal??

Employers must pay all wages owed on the last day of employment. It is unlawful for an employer to require an employee to pay for accidental breakage. If you are fired, you should request whatever damage they made you pay for, be reimbursed. If they refuse to do so, you can file a claim for the money they owe you, plus waiting time penalties equal to a day's pay for each day they are late from the date of dismissal, up to a maximum of 30 days, with the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
