Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Fired 'At Will'

I worked for a transit bus company over 12 years with excellent evaluations. I was fired 'At Will' after I was told by my supervisor to do something illegal. She lied to my boss and he called me in and told me that he didn't have to tell me why I was being let go. I have been out of work for a year now and feel unable to get a good paying job to support me and my 3 children.

Do I have any rights at all?

There are several questions that need to be answered. First, were you a government employee? Second, when were you fired? The statute of limitations for wrongful termination in violation of public policy is 1 year. Call me at 805/641-6600 if want to discuss further.
