Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I gave my employer my resignation. They let me go the same day with no pay
I tendered my resignation to my employer...providing a one week notice. My employer let me go the same day. Does my employer have to pay me through the following week that I said I would work (as stated in the resignation letter)? They say they do not have to since they are letting me go.

You are only entitled to payment for the actual time you worked.
