Legal Question in Employment Law in California
harassment & discrimination
general manager assigned major projects to female employees w/promises of compensation which didn't come, we filed w/DFEH, (we=5 women) and he retaliated
in several ways, full time; 1 woman (myself) out on on the job stress claim, 1 was set up and fired, 1
resigned and returned to school and was harassed for filing; another woman had to quit for health/stress...DFEH was a nightmare and we all were turned down. how can we find out if a civil action would be ''worth'' it? Thank you

Re: harassment & discrimination
You may have a cause of action for tortious retailatory discharge, even if you quit, as that may constitute "constructive discharge." You would be entitled to lost wages, general damages (pain and suffering), potentially punitive damages, and, worker's compensation benefits for the stress claim filed simultaneousely with the civil action.
